Booya it's skeleton time!!
Well, the whirlwind summer of fun is done and now its back to business. Awesome!! It's going to be a nice change of pace and a schedule of travel and training that, albeit hectic, normal. Normal as far as skeletors are concerned. We move from place to place throughout our competitive season like a group of Gypsy nomads, never spending more than a week in one place. Frequenting the same stops along the way, after nine years of competition, these places start to feel like second-third-fourth-fifth... homes. You see the same folks and stay in a lot of the same places and you start to wonder how their lives have changed, or conversely, stayed the same. It's then you really start to feel super lucky to be doing what you are doing and being able to actually chase down your dreams on a daily basis. This cat is one lucky boy!

The proof is last weeks race in Whistler. Getting to go back to the scene of the "crime" and have a shot at doing it all again. Getting a shot to prove you earned it once and it was no fluke. That you deserve what you earned and nobody can say otherwise. I'm both happy and proud to say thats just what we were able to do. Don't get me wrong, that was a great day but now it does not mean a whip, but it was a good day. This week is going to be super tough to climb up on that podium, but I know if I slide to the best of my ability, I'll have that shot. Looking to keep this momentum going and continue to slide consistently. Thanks for all the support and see ya at the start line.

The race can be watched on www.CBC.ca under the live streaming header in the sport section at 1:00PM Mountain time!

Take care and happy trails.
